General Function

We have an exciting opportunity in the Foundation for an individual with professional writing/social media experience. Candidate will create and manage content for the NRF Foundation’s main communications channels – website, social media accounts, blog, and e-mails.

Essential Functions

  • Write, build and publish content on the NRF Foundation blog and website and manage all NRF Foundation emails
  • Develop the strategy and create and manage content across all NRF Foundation social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Partner with NRF Foundation team members and liaises externally with stakeholders to create presentations, messages, copy, and communications materials for NRF Foundation programs and events
  • Work cross-functionally within NRF to align content and create creative, concise and compelling copy to illuminate the key messages of the NRF Foundation and to ensure that foundation messaging is consistent with the NRF narrative
  • Track and report performance of communication channels and recommend shifts in strategy/new ideas based on analytics to program teams and NRF leadership
  • Draft regular communications to update the NRF Foundation Board of Directors on the status of programs and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in journalism, communications, marketing, or public relations or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum four years of professional writing experience for key organizational efforts
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to convey complex and technical information effectively and consistently to all stakeholders and across all channels
  • Error-free writer with strong proofreading skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to tailor content
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with high energy and the ability to work independently, and enthusiastically collaborate as a part of a motivated, driven team
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with on schedule and accurate completion
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with updating web pages and building emails in Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus
  • Ability to travel (up to 5%)

Salary Description

$70,000-$80,000
