## Job Description

As the Manager of Federal Government Affairs, you will support Bosch’s public policy and government affairs efforts in the United States and help advance the company’s business priorities through strategic engagement with policymakers, regulators, industry stakeholders, and internal business leaders.

This role is ideal for a motivated and intellectually curious professional who is eager to learn, build relationships, and help advance policy initiatives that support innovation, manufacturing, mobility, technology, and economic growth. Working as part of a highly collaborative and high‑performing team, you will shape and execute advocacy strategies that enable Bosch’s business to succeed in an evolving policy environment.

You will join a fast‑paced, highly visible team that operates at the intersection of public policy, business strategy, and innovation. In this role, you will engage with policymakers, federal agencies, trade associations, coalition partners, and other key stakeholders to advance Bosch’s policy priorities and strengthen the company’s reputation as a trusted partner and thought leader.

This position offers the opportunity to work across a broad portfolio of issues impacting Bosch’s businesses. You will monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments, assess potential business impacts, and help shape advocacy strategies that support the company’s objectives. Success in this role requires strong judgement, effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn and navigate complex policy issues.

You will work closely with business leaders and subject matter experts to translate complex policy developments into actionable business insights and ensure alignment between policy priorities and business goals. The U.S. Government Affairs team is part of the company’s communications and government affairs organization and serves as a trusted advisor to company leadership on public policy matters.

## Key Responsibilities

– **Government affairs priorities** — Support and implement comprehensive government affairs priorities to advance the company’s interests.
– **Advocacy efforts** — Support advocacy efforts with Congress, federal agencies, and industry stakeholders on issues impacting Bosch’s business interests.
– **Stakeholder relationships** — Cultivate and maintain effective relationships with policymakers, government agencies, and industry associations to advance and protect the company’s business objectives and reputation.
– **Legislative monitoring** — Monitor and analyze legislative trends and developments, providing timely insights and potential business impacts to internal audiences.
– **Internal stakeholder support** — Counsel, prepare, and support internal stakeholders to plan for and engage in government affairs work.
– **Industry representation** — Represent Bosch in industry associations, coalition meetings, and policy forums to help advance company priorities and build industry relationships.
– **Policy expertise** — Develop expertise across a broad range of policy issues affecting Bosch, including mobility, technology, manufacturing, trade, energy, workforce, and innovation policy.
– **Cross‑functional collaboration** — Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align government affairs priorities with business objectives.
– **Spokesperson responsibilities** — Represent the company as an authoritative spokesperson at meetings, hearings, and industry events.
– **Compliance knowledge** — Maintain strong knowledge of compliance laws related to advocacy and commit to abiding by all requirements.

## Qualifications

– Bachelor’s Degree
– 5+ years of experience in government affairs, public policy, legislative affairs, congressional offices, federal agencies, trade associations, campaigns, or related roles
– Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new policy issues and translate complex information into actionable business insights
– Experience working in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment with a strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and execution
– Experience on Capitol Hill, within the Executive Branch, trade associations, or government affairs organizations is highly valued
– Exceptional organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute with speed, accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail
– Thorough understanding of federal legislative and regulatory processes and demonstrated ability to influence legislation and policy
– Strong interest in mobility and technology sectors, including emerging fields, sustainability, compliance, and safety
– Success in building and maintaining effective relationships with government officials and industry stakeholders
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and articulate complex issues verbally and through persuasive writing
– Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities to navigate and influence policy environments
– Effective time and project management abilities, including prioritization skills
– High personal integrity and ethics aligned with Bosch values and ethos

## Additional Information

We offer a competitive base salary for this position with a range in US–Washington, D.C. of **$150,000 – $160,000**, along with an annual corporate bonus and a generous benefits package designed to reward sustained impact and contribution over time. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to work experience, job knowledge, role complexity, and job location.
