Airbnb’s Story
Airbnb was born in 2007 when two Hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home. Since then, it has grown to over 4 million Hosts who have welcomed more than 1 billion guest arrivals across nearly every country worldwide. Every day, Hosts offer unique stays and experiences that allow guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way.
The Community You Will Join
Airbnb’s Engagement & Infrastructure team (E&I) supports the broader Public Policy department, shaping the legislative, regulatory, and reputational environment in which our business operates. Each group within the department has varying data infrastructure and tooling needs to engage effectively with hosts, guests, politicians, regulators, and opinion leaders. E&I’s technology stack leverages internal and external products that inform the Policy team’s strategies and scale messaging around fair short-term rental regulations.
