### EEI Job Opportunity: Manager, State Energy & Regulatory Policy
EEI is excited to announce an opportunity for a **Manager, State Energy & Regulatory Policy**. This role involves conducting legislative and regulatory research, tracking industry issues, and supporting advocacy efforts. You will assist the Director in promoting industry positions, developing issue papers, and conducting webinars. Additionally, you will maintain data on commissioners and staff and serve as a key contact with state and regional industry associations. This position is crucial for advancing our industry’s interests through effective policy advocacy and collaboration.
### Job Duties and Responsibilities
**External Engagement:** Serve as the primary EEI contact with trade organizations’ staff, attend national and regional policy meetings, promote industry positions, and secure industry speakers for panels. Act as the EEI spokesperson with staff subcommittee members and other state and regional industry associations.
**Education and Training:** Develop and manage program content for educational and training opportunities.
**Briefing Preparation:** Prepare briefing materials for staff, members, and state commissioners before external meetings. Brief EEI staff and members on key issues, and assist the Director in developing policy papers and talking points.
**Research and Tracking:** Conduct legislative and regulatory research, maintain comprehensive trackers, and compile information for special assignments.
### Required Experience
– Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in political science or a related field.
– Minimum of three to five years of experience in the regulatory or utility industry.
– Exceptional ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders to build consensus.
– Proficient in managing time, prioritizing workload, and multitasking while maintaining attention to detail.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Excellent research and fact-finding abilities.
– Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) required.
– Minimum of three to five years of experience in the regulatory or utility industry.
### Compensation
The salary range for this position is set at **$80,000 – $125,000** annually. Starting annual salary will be determined based on individual qualifications. EEI also offers an annual performance incentive, prorated for mid-year start dates, which is between 5%-10% of annual base salary, based on performance.

### Office Protocol
This is a hybrid position which requires the incumbent to reside in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and come into the office a minimum of three days each week, with two of the mandatory days being Tuesday and Wednesday.
