## Job Description
### Managing Director, HRRI
The Managing Director of the Healthcare Regulatory Research Institute (HRRI) oversees and contributes to strategic initiatives relative to HRRI’s and FSBPT’s missions and goals. The Managing Director contributes to projects by helping to define the research agenda, overseeing researchers’ work, and communicating key research through writing, formal presentations, and informal outreach. The Managing Director contributes to overseeing a budget of approximately $2 million, supervises 1–3 staff, and oversees contractor work.
## Key Responsibilities
Represents FSBPT and HRRI to key stakeholder groups, including making conference presentations, collaborating with client and peer organizations, and engaging customers at exhibit halls. Broadly contributes to external communications: written reports, research summaries, live presentations, and webinars. Serves as an expert resource to members and other stakeholders in public policy relevant to regulation in healthcare.
Develops strategies around engaging stakeholders in utilizing research and regulatory products. Works to position research and products in a favorable light with stakeholders representing diverse perspectives. Helps gather user feedback on research and products and integrate feedback into future work. May help design surveys and facilitate task forces, expert panels, and other stakeholder groups.
Oversees contractor work, reviews deliverables, and provides feedback when necessary. Collaboratively works with other senior leaders to develop and oversee the HRRI budget of approximately $2 million.
Contributes to shaping and executing organizational strategy through collaboration with leadership, advisors, and other stakeholders. Engages in long‑term planning. Evaluates current and future research partners.
Tracks key public policy and legislative issues and develops outreach and response strategies.
Coordinates human and physical resources (booth and marketing materials) across events, presentations, and marketing opportunities. Supervises 1–3 administrative staff.

## Education
Bachelor’s degree required in public policy, law, public health, or related discipline.
