Bully Pulpit Interactive (BPI) is seeking a full-time Media Planner to join our team in Washington DC, Chicago, IL, New York City or San Francisco, CA. In this position, you’ll be responsible for media planning, campaign management/optimization on a broad range of corporate, advocacy, and political accounts. You’ll work closely with the team’s Senior Media Planners and coordinate across Client/Account Services and Media Buying teams to plan and execute the overall campaign strategy.

In this position you’ll be expected to:

  • Develop plans to align with client/campaign objectives and work closely with client teams to ensure media plans deliver upon the agreed strategies and approach
  • Lead campaign implementation/management in regard to: buying, negotiating, implementation, optimization, and analysis
  • Present plan recommendations to clients with support from leadership
  • Establish specifications and timelines needed for campaign launch and work across teams to ensure successful execution
  • Use internal data sources as well as past performance to develop insights and strategy for future efforts
  • Work on client/account team requests and prioritize with them based on plan and budget changes, campaign flighting, and marketplace information
  • Work with internal analytics team to gauge media performance and determine the extent to which the original objectives and strategies were met
  • Manage vendor communications, requests for proposals, and negotiate items such as rates, terms and conditions, and added value
  • Conduct media, industry, or company research to allow the agency to develop accurate and strategic advertising and marketing plans
  • Cross-reference and approve all media invoices to be processed

  • Working knowledge of planning tools (including but not limited to Global Web Index, comScore, eMarketer)
  • Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)


Employee Status: Full-Time, exempt
