Political Action Committee Manager
The American Soybean Association’s (ASA) Government Affairs team in Washington, D.C. is seeking a Political Action Committee (PAC) Manager to lead development, compliance, and management of SoyPAC – the bipartisan ASA PAC. This individual will manage the ASA SoyPAC Committee of farmer leaders, lead the planning and execution of an annual PAC auction, build fundraising plans, and manage internal compliance and record-keeping. The SoyPAC Manager will work across ASA functions and with state affiliates, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This position reports to the Executive Director of Government Affairs and works across several departments within ASA.
ASA is a national trade association that advocates on behalf of all U.S. soybean farmers on domestic and international trade issues. It is the collective voice of nearly 500,000 producers in 30 soybean-producing states represented through 26 state affiliates. SoyPAC is a bipartisan PAC that disburses contributions to federal congressional candidates, with an auction hosted annually as its cornerstone fundraising event. ASA is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, and its Government Affairs team is based in Washington, D.C.

What we need:
- Experience (at least 5 years) working in fundraising, campaigns, or political organizations, as well as an understanding of Congress, fundraising compliance, and PAC management.
- Bachelor’s degree in political science or related field.
- Strong communications skills.
- Strong project management skills, including event management.
- Strong writing skills, including the ability to develop fundraising messaging and PAC branding.
- Strong organizational and collaborative skills.
- Ability to learn and work independently and proactively, while accepting guidance from other team members.

- Position requires up to 15% travel.
