About The Role

Peraton is currently seeking to hire an experienced Public Affairs Specialist for the USCYBERCOM program located at Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities:

Support the planning and implementation of a comprehensive public affairs program for the Command.

Coordinate efforts to inform interested public, including other agencies, organizations, and Command personnel.

Write, edit, and prepare news releases and programs for press, radio, and television, as well as organize and layout publications and other informational materials, ensuring conformance to Command and Government guidelines.

Prepare responses to information requests on assigned programs from the news media, specialized groups, general public, local, state, and Federal elected officials, and special interest, community, and civic organizations.

Exhibit knowledge and application of a wide range of oral, written, social, and visual communications concepts, principles, policies, practices, methods, applications, techniques, standards, and trends.

Contribute substantively to the planning and implementation of a comprehensive public affairs program for the Command.

Independently coordinate efforts to inform interested public, including other agencies, organizations, and Command personnel.

Independently write, edit, and prepare information for release to the media, specialized groups, general public, Government officials, and other Government organizations.

Exhibit in-depth knowledge of and application of a wide range of oral, written, social, and visual communications concepts, principles, policies, practices, methods, applications, techniques, standards, and trends.

Qualifications
Requirements:

Minimum six years of experience as a DOD Public Affairs Specialist.

Minimum of High School Diploma.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Active TS/SCI Poly.

Details

Target Salary Range: $86,000 – $138,000
This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, geographic location, and business or contract considerations.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
