Avōq is seeking a proactive and motivated coordinator to assist its team of Federal lobbyists with research and writing projects on behalf of Fortune 100 clients, major trade associations, and leading public interest groups.

# WHO YOU ARE

You’re interested in government relations, politics, and/or public policy and looking to gain exposure and experience in a fast-paced professional services setting.

# WHAT YOU’LL DO

– **General knowledge** — Developing and maintaining a general knowledge of Avōq’s clients and the issues that impact them.
– **Legislative research** — Completing legislative, public policy, and other research projects as directed.
– **Client publications** — Coordinating the drafting and production of client publications such as issue alerts and newsletters.
– **Hearing summaries** — Attending hearings and drafting summaries for clients and staff.
– **Memo review** — Reviewing and editing client memos and proposals.
– **Compliance support** — Assisting with other compliance matters, fundraisers, and client events.
– **Additional support** — Providing additional support as needed.

# Requirements

# YOUR EXPERIENCE

As a qualified candidate, you have experience in:

– **Capitol Hill experience** — Internship or entry-level experience on Capitol Hill or in a government affairs setting.
– **Policy interest** — Demonstrated interest in politics and public policy.
– **Research and writing** — Excellent research, writing, and editing skills.
– **Research tools** — Experience with research tools such as Bloomberg, Politico Pro, and Quorum, as well as experience with AI tools and functions.
– **Attention to detail** — Exceptional attention to detail.
– **Project management** — Able to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
– **Eagerness to learn** — Eagerness to learn and take direction.

**The salary range for this role is $50,000–$55,000.**
