Join the Walmart Labor Legal Team and you will provide day-to-day legal guidance and collaborate with business partners, People partners, and other stakeholders in U.S. Labor and Employment law.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the business in U.S. traditional labor law, including providing labor and employment law guidance to business partners in various areas of the U.S. business.
  • Develop strategies to respond to clients’ labor law issues and counsel clients regarding legal compliance.
  • Identify the need for and direct training.
  • Develop and foster relationships as business partners with clients by understanding their goals and objectives and providing business-related input.
  • Provide legal advice to the company by offering clients an informed understanding of their legal rights, obligations, and risks to enable informed decision-making.
  • Identify the need for and oversee outside legal support for business transactions and projects.
  • Leverage technology to streamline processes, communication, and workflows.

You’ll Sweep Us Off Our Feet If

  • You have comprehensive experience with all aspects of U.S. traditional labor laws and counseling the business on labor matters.
  • You’re a subject matter expert in labor law.
  • You have substantial, diverse legal experience (e.g., combination of in-house, government, leading law firm, etc.).
  • You empower your business partners while working collaboratively to achieve cross-functional goals.
  • You work proactively and leverage preventative measures in the spirit of protecting stakeholders, customers, and employees.
  • You have effective communication skills to interact with senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • You’re experienced working across tight deadlines and managing multiple projects.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00–$260,000.00.

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
