## Position Summary

The Democratic Attorneys General Association (DAGA) is hiring a Senior Digital Media Strategist to develop and execute the committee’s digital strategy to support, elevate, and elect Democratic Attorneys General and candidates. Democratic AGs have emerged as strong leaders protecting democracy and holding President Trump and GOP allies accountable. Too often, AG races fly under the radar—DAGA works to ensure these leaders and elections are front and center.

The Senior Digital Strategist will run effective digital and social media programs. Previous political experience is required; management experience and vendor experience are ideal. Applicants must understand how digital tools and platforms can communicate complex issues to diverse audiences. The Senior Digital Strategist reports to the Communications Director and oversees DAGA’s Digital Media Associate.

## Responsibilities

– Coordinate with the Communications Director to develop a long‑term digital strategy across DAGA platforms
– Direct and manage daily workflow of digital campaigns, including proposal development, activation, maintenance, and reporting/analysis
– Manage all social media platforms, including strategy development, content calendar management, drafting/editing/scheduling content, and reporting/analysis
– Support growth in content creation (graphics & video), including brainstorming and project management from concept to completion
– Monitor current events to create timely digital campaigns aligned with organizational priorities; coordinate messaging with campaign teams, candidates, and partner organizations
– Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and digital staff on AG races, partner committees, and organizations
– Train AGs and staff on best practices in digital and social media
– Manage committee websites, microsites, digital advocacy tools, and collaborate with Policy, Political, and other departments to meet their digital needs
– Help manage current and future vendors and the budgeting process
– Direct production of monthly analytics reports for the Executive Director and other personnel, offering insights into website, social media, and digital program performance
– Identify needs for departmental process improvements, including internal trainings, campaign/candidate trainings, and organizational tools
– Assist with special projects and events, including guidelines, project management, strategic planning, and conferences
– Other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications

The terms of employment require compliance with all state, District of Columbia, and federal laws. This is an at‑will position.

## Preferred Skills & Experience

– A Bachelor’s degree
– 5–7+ years of relevant digital experience
– Previous experience in political campaigns or political organizations
– At least two years of staff or vendor management experience
– Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels
– In‑depth knowledge of digital media strategy, principles, and techniques
– Strong working knowledge of digital strategy, programs, and toolsets (including CRM systems)
– Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
– Project management skills, including multitasking, resource allocation, and timeline management
– Sense of humor and positive attitude
– Commitment to DAGA’s mission

## Structure and Location

This position is based in DAGA’s Washington, DC office. DAGA operates under a hybrid model: DC‑based employees work in‑office three days per week and remotely two days per week. Office hours are 9 AM – 6 PM Eastern, with extended or nontraditional hours required. This full‑time role requires willingness and ability to travel as needed.

## Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $70,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience.
