Louis Vuitton Americas is seeking an experienced Sr. Manager of Customs Compliance to lead our customs function. This role goes beyond regulatory compliance as it is a key driver of operational excellence, innovation and competitive advantage in our cross-border supply chain.
You will be responsible for designing and evolving our customs strategy, managing the compliance and sales admin team, and spearheading initiatives that optimize duty spend, improve efficiency, and prepare the company for future regulatory and digital trade landscapes.
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Innovation
- Define and lead the global customs compliance strategy aligned with business growth and supply chain objectives.
- Proactively identify and implement innovative solutions (e.g., automation, AI-driven tools, data analytics) to improve compliance processes and reduce operational friction.
- Evaluate and deploy technologies that improve trade visibility, customs reporting, and risk management.
Global Compliance Governance
- Ensure full compliance with global import/export regulations (U.S. CBP, CBSA etc.) and lead the organization’s response to regulatory changes.
- Own classification strategy. Partner with the Central teams for origin determination to maintain data integrity and reduce audit risk.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Onboard Central teams in process improvements to minimize custom clearance lead-time.
- Champion process excellence through customs program reviews, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Optimize customs duty exposure through strategies like FTAs, bonded warehouses, duty drawback, etc
- Drive standardization and scalability of compliance processes across geographies and business units.
Sales Administration
- Oversee order management accuracy, ensuring timely entry, validation, and fulfillment of global customer orders.
- Monitor pricing processes to support margin accuracy.
- Drive continuous improvement across sales administration workflows, leveraging automation and standardization.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build, lead, and mentor a team of customs compliance professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization into core business operations.
Risk & Audit Management
- Establish robust compliance KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance and risk across the organization.
Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Law or related fields.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics or customs compliance, including 3-5 years in a management role.
- U.S. Customs Broker License or equivalent credential.
- Demonstrated success driving digital transformation or process innovation in a compliance or logistics environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence at an executive level
- Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and decision making skills.
The appointed candidate will be offered an annual salary within the range of USD $150,000 – $160,000, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and two retirement plans both with employer contributions.

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Louis Vuitton Corporate Office, located in the heart of Midtown, Manhattan.
