Senior Vice President

Firehouse is seeking a full-time senior vice president to join our rapidly growing public affairs firm.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee team members in managing the firm’s client accounts.
  • Lead team members in developing and executing strategies and tactics that effectively reach and persuade clients’ targeted audiences.
  • Deliver media and political analysis, insights, and strategies to clients.
  • Leverage existing relationships with members of the press to successfully place earned media stories and opinion content in prominent national and Beltway media outlets.
  • Work alongside the firm’s political team in managing clients’ grasstops advocacy campaigns.
  • Participate in business development pitches with prospective clients and oversee team members in crafting proposals that successfully acquire new clients for the firm.
  • Mentor team members in their professional development and ensure they receive the necessary feedback, guidance, and resources to excel in their roles.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience serving in communications roles on behalf of political candidates, members of Congress, or presidential administrations.
  • Experience leading team members.
  • Ability to leverage existing media relationships to place earned media stories and opinion content in prominent national and Beltway media outlets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superb presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize both client and team needs.
  • Capable of operating Microsoft Office Suite platforms, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
