Senior Vice President
Firehouse is seeking a full-time Senior Vice President to join our rapidly growing firm. This position will lead team members in executing targeted media and issue advocacy campaigns on behalf of client engagements.
This role is based in Firehouse’s Washington, D.C., office, where team members work in-office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and remotely on Monday and Friday. Successful candidates for this role will have a minimum of 10+ years of professional experience working on behalf of political candidates, members of Congress, presidential administrations, or political party organizations, and possess strong media relationships.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Oversee team members in managing and enhancing client accounts and acquiring new clients for the firm.
- Client Engagements: Provide clients with strategic guidance and lead team members in producing high-quality deliverables that achieve clients’ desired outcomes.
- Business Development: Drive pitches and proposals that convert into new business wins.
- Media Relations: Utilize existing media relationships with reporters, media bookers, and producers to pitch Firehouse’s clients and client-related content to prominent state and national media outlets.
- Professional Development: Through the firm’s mentoring and training programs, provide coaching and skills development opportunities for assigned team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in a political or public affairs role, preferably with a background working on behalf of political candidates, elected officials, or political party organizations.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and empower team members to succeed.
- Ability to remain up-to-speed on relevant policy issues and debates in Washington, D.C., and nationwide.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Superb presentation skills.
- Strong track record of effectively collaborating with team members.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize both client and team needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Annual Compensation: $150,000 – $220,000
