Signal Group, a leading modern public affairs firm located in D.C., is seeking a Senior Vice President to join our Communications practice. This role is pivotal in leading and growing our clients in healthcare public affairs, including public health, veterans’ health, and patient advocacy.

The Senior Vice President will play a key role within Signal’s Communications team. The successful candidate will provide counsel, lead integrated account teams, and design and implement creative strategies to advance client policy and brand objectives. The position also helps generate new clients and opportunities for the firm, playing a vital role in shaping Signal’s future.

Responsibilities of the SVP

  • Grow: Identify, cultivate, and close new clients to add to our roster.
  • Manage: Serve as a counselor and advisor to clients and lead a team to ensure delivery of quality work that advances client priorities.
  • Expand: Enhance Signal’s expertise in healthcare and related issue areas.
  • Excel: Oversee seamless delivery of work products and campaigns through effective planning, coordination, communication, and staffing.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of previous communications or public affairs work experience
  • Understanding of the health policy landscape and its nuances
  • Relationships across patient, provider, and trade associations in the healthcare industry
  • Strong command of media management, thought leadership, and digital strategies
  • A keen interest in media with a voracious appetite for news and information
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams, developing a strong workplace culture, and mentoring talent
  • A desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

Our office is now open, and employees may work remotely; however, this position is based in the Washington, D.C. area.

We offer a generous salary and benefits package, with a salary range of $150,000 to $225,000.
