Ready to make a difference? Sahara Las Vegas is looking for an experienced, passionate and creative Social Media Manager to join our high-performing digital marketing team. This self-motivated individual will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategy, working and coordinating with team members to encourage adoption of social media techniques into the corporate culture, and building a highly-engaged online community of brand advocates. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Director, the Social Media Manager will maintain day-to-day activity across all social channels and across several personas, as well as conduct regular reporting and work on several digital platforms to broadcast property offerings.

Job Focus

  • Develop compelling, unique, and original content for publishing on all company-owned social media channels
  • Connect with our social audiences using great and engaging copy, images, video, and interactions
  • Monitor report, and respond to guest service issues, questions, reviews, and recommendations on social media channels
  • Join in relevant local, regional, and global social conversations
  • Establish and conduct a regular reporting cadence that sets and tracks measurable goals, as well as use data and analysis to determine what tactics are inspiring social audiences
  • Maintain and safeguard brand voice and a unified messaging strategy across online networks
  • Perform periodic social media profile optimization
  • Create comprehensive social media creative and image specifications, talking points, and guidelines for partners and vendors
  • Work closely with partners, vendors, and sister companies on cross-marketing opportunities to maximize brand awareness and ensure adherence to established guidelines
  • Develop and maintain content calendar
  • Manage EventBrite profiles and events
  • Live social media presence in key property events
  • Perform competitive analysis
  • Stay up-to-date in evolving algorithms, best practices, and identify industry trends
  • Research and recommend social media tools as needed
  • Create and improve internal processes and structure as it relates to social media
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or Communication, or three to five years of relevant experience
  • Minimum three years of proven professional experience in building, engaging, and connecting with audiences across multiple channels, as well as possess the ability to interpret analytics, communicate results and formulate strategy using actionable data
  • Expert-level familiarity with building, managing, optimizing, and executing high-converting paid social media campaigns
  • Self-starter with excellent project management skills, including schedule development, tracking, task prioritization, and an ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience creating effective storylines, shooting, and/or editing videos for social a plus
  • Familiarity with photo editing software and with basic graphic design and tools a plus
  • Demonstrate unique creativity and documented immersion in social media
  • Knowledge of blogging and influencer ecosystem
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side
  • In-depth knowledge of online reputation management
  • Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat, and approachable attitude online and offline
  • Demonstrated problem solver with highly-developed interpersonal skills in working with a variety of people and settings
  • Familiarity with website analytics tools
  • Passionate about their role
  • Collaborative, creative, takes initiative, and great with follow-through
  • Experience in a similar hotel, resort, casino, or entertainment setting a plus
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Sense of humor a plus
