Job Summary

Develop and drive content strategy and manage social community engagement for St. Hubert’s social media channels.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop content to promote and support our doggy daycare, training classes, adoptions, corp partner promotions, events, fundraising campaigns, etc.
  • Manage and respond to all comments and messages on socials, collaborating with others to ensure the message is properly answered/followed up on.
  • Create reels/videos to support programs, adoptions and highlight community engagement.
  • Working with the Marketing & Communications team, create social advertising campaigns, monitoring progress and reporting out results on a timely basis.
  • Capture and analyze social media data/metrics, insights, and best practices to measure the success of posts/campaigns and use the data to increase favorable future results.
  • Participate in strategic planning for emergency campaigns to support the funding of St. Hubert’s mission.
  • Support ongoing collaborative efforts with regional and national organizations.
  • Attend adoption and other events when needed to support social content and “lives” for fb/IG. Events may occur on the weekends and/or in the evenings.
  • Always represent the brand in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

This position is on-site, 5 days a week.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Strong visual storyteller with a knowledge of digital media and social media trends.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills.
  • Creative and flexible. Ready to create content that will both engage our current audience as well as expand our reach to new potential supporters and adopters.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to seek out compelling stories within our organization and encourage a culture of storytelling.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with ability to manage projects autonomously.
  • Passion for St. Hubert’s mission.
  • Interest in video storytelling; preference for candidates with production experience including managing vendors and contractors, video script development, storyboards, scheduling video shoots, creating shot lists, conducting interviews, filming, and editing.

  • Regularly sits at a computer station and operates electronic equipment.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activity daily, including but not limited to lifting and carrying, reaching, stooping, squatting, and bending. Regularly moves about the facilities to coordinate work. Typically stands, bends, stoops, and crouches while working special events.
  • Due to the nature of shelter work, may be exposed to deceased, fractious, or aggressive animals; common allergens; hostile or irate persons; zoonotic or other diseases; unpleasant noises, odors, or sights; and extreme temperatures.

Education and Experience

  • One year of professional experience in strategic brand social media management.
  • Experience with video production, filming, and editing for social media content preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.

Salary premium may be offered for multilingual candidates proficient in Spanish, French, and Mandarin.
