Acknowledgement of Personal Responsibility
Thank you for your interest in the 2022 National PAC Conference! There is always inherent risk in participating in any activity. Due to the circumstances created by COVID-19, there is a heightened degree of personal risk and responsibility associated with any travel or gathering. The Public Affairs Council will be supportive of attendees taking advisable measures to reduce the risk of virus/illness transmission during the meeting. Despite everyone’s best efforts, it is impossible to reduce the level of risk to zero. As an attendee registering for a Public Affairs Council event, you:
- Acknowledge these and other risks and agree to take full, personal responsibility for them. You will not hold anyone else accountable, including the Public Affairs Council, its staff or partners, should you contract an illness or should anything else happen to you during your participation in this meeting.
- Attest that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with vaccines that the FDA has approved for emergency-use or full approval, and that you will attend the conference prepared to provide proof of vaccination. Fully vaccinated means your final vaccination shot must be completed within 14 days prior to the start of the conference. The only exemption to this policy will be religious or medical reasons, which must be pre-approved by the Public Affairs Council. When exemptions are given, specific health protocols as outlined by the Public Affairs Council must be followed; otherwise, attendees will not be admitted. Contact [email protected] to apply for an exemption.
- Agree to monitor your own health status and will not attend the meeting or any Public Affairs Council event if you feel ill, are symptomatic in any way, or have had any possible exposure to someone with COVID-19.
- Will take necessary precautions while at the event including, but not limited to, engaging in appropriate physical distancing, wearing a mask if the group requires it, respecting a “no-touch” policy by refraining from hugs and handshaking, participating in frequent washing of hands and avoiding risky environments and behaviors. The Public Affairs Council will follow CDC and/or local guidance regarding policies on masks and other public safety measures. All attendees are also encouraged to take necessary precautions while traveling to and from the conference.
This acknowledgement of personal responsibility is binding on me and my heirs and successors.
By registering for the 2022 National PAC Conference,
you agree to the above waiver and code of conduct.
