Job Summary: As the Influencer Marketing Manager for Tencent Games, you will drive influencer marketing strategies by collaborating with agencies and internal stakeholders to execute influencer projects from start to finish. This pivotal role aims to drive the successful growth of assigned game titles and their expansion into new regions. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team in one of the largest gaming companies to make a significant impact in the industry.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead in collaborating with internal stakeholders (including Brand Marketing, Product Development, UA, Creative Development, Finance, Partnerships, Community, and Executive Management) and establish goals and objectives to achieve KPI’s.
- Identify and drive influencer initiatives that will improve audience acquisition, retention, and growth.
- Drive influencer strategy for game launches, leveraging a deep understanding of the product development cycle to identify key beats for implementing influencer marketing.
- Partner with agencies to devise impactful influencer campaigns and creator programs that enhance creator retention and content volume.
- Manage budget planning, monitor expenditure, and maintain alignment with relevant teams to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Report project performance to senior leadership and internal teams.
- Utilize a strong understanding of industry rates and contracts to effectively negotiate rates with agencies and influencers.
- Maintain versatile project management skills, oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, and ensure their successful completion.
- Find solutions for diverse and changing needs, even under pressure, while considering project timelines and interdependencies.
- Project management: monitor status of project from kick-off to post-performance review — check milestones and timeline to make sure on-time delivery and conduct post-mortem reports after the project finishes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience within the video game industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing creators and creator campaigns/programs, preferably for high-profile brands.
- Exceptional project management capabilities, capable of managing multiple initiatives and driving them to fruition.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, independent, organized, and proactive, with flexibility and adaptability in cross-functional collaboration.
- Skilled in analytical and quantitative thinking with the ability to assess KPI data and focus on ROI metrics, familiarity with creator platforms and proficiency in utilizing CMPs for insights (e.g., CreatorIQ, Tubular).
- Experience in collaborating and aligning with global teams for campaigns and other initiatives.
- Proficient in managing pressure and delivering solutions across diverse needs.
- Passion for gaming and extensive experience in mobile products, a distinct advantage.
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills with an ability to present to leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in mentoring other team members by providing guidance, feedback, and support.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity.
- Fluent in English, with additional proficiency in Chinese as a bonus.

Compensation: The base pay range for this position in the state(s) above is $88,800 to $162,280 per year. Actual pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment, relocation package, and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as other medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the specific position offered.
