JOB DESCRIPTION
340B Health has an opening for a Manager of Policy at our growing nonprofit hospital trade association. As a member of the legal and policy team, you will assist with policy analysis and regulatory and legal advocacy for health policy issues relating to the 340B drug discount program, especially those relating to hospitals. You will also participate in educating 340B Health members and others regarding 340B program developments, implementation, and compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with tracking and analyzing policy, regulatory, and legal developments to assess and describe their potential impact on 340B.
- Help with developing summaries of 340B issues, highlighting key issues for various audiences, including 340B Health staff, 340B Health member hospitals and health systems, policymakers, and other associations.
- With the Senior Counsel, support development of policy positions and advocacy responses.
- Assist with outreach to 340B Health members and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical assistance to 340B Health members.
- Develop educational materials for 340B Health members.
- Draft articles for 340B Health publications.
- Prepare and deliver presentations at conferences, webinars, roundtables, and other events. Includes planning content, identifying, and vetting speakers, and reviewing presentations for annual conferences.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required (master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with federal legislation, regulations, or government programs.
- Experience in health policy (e.g., drug pricing, Medicaid, Medicare, and hospital issues) a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and follow-through on tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
- Must have an all-staff-on-deck attitude and a willingness to pitch in when needed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
