### Compassion & Choices Senior Campaign Organizers
Compassion & Choices is seeking two Senior Campaign Organizers to advance our work to improve care, expand options, and empower everyone to chart their end-of-life journey.
Senior Campaign Organizers are primarily responsible for working closely with the state lead to formalize and streamline grassroots activities while building capacity and infrastructure in their region to further C&C’s mission. The Senior Campaign Organizer will also provide key support for outreach activities and events; develop strategy with the state lead; provide outreach, particularly to underserved communities; initiate volunteer activities; and collaborate with local partners to pass state legislation that improves end-of-life experiences.
These are full-time, remotely-located positions (one position is Minnesota-based; the other can be anywhere in the Continental US), paid positions. Compensation offered will be commensurate with experience.

These positions will primarily be responsible for:
– Cultivating relationships with local community groups, especially groups focused on empowering underserved communities, diversity, and inclusion.
– Providing oversight to C&C volunteers including managing volunteers to implement C&C’s grassroots organizing activities within the region.
– Providing technical assistance and support to Action Teams (such as training on and sharing of C&C toolkits).
– Drafting effective advocacy alerts for activist activities and events.
– Coordinating C&C involvement in public/healthcare outreach events (such as organizing volunteers for booths and presentations).
– Recruiting volunteers and leading volunteer trainings and educational talks to build broader support for the aid in dying movement.
– Mobilizing individuals in the Finish Strong states to voice support for our legislative goals and full access to end-of-life choice through letter writing campaigns, phone banking, canvassing, days of action, visibility events, legislative lobbying, public health committee hearings, etc.
– Attending and participating in all relevant C&C and external meetings throughout the year, including but not limited to weekly staff check-ins and weekly field calls.
– Serving as the primary administrative support for the state lead.
– Taking initiative and starting new events and activities with volunteer groups as approved by the state lead.
– Looking for opportunities to present at conferences and on webinars.
– Presenting at conferences and on webinars.
– Networking at events to further C&C’s mission.
– Drafting weekly program updates.
– Assisting digital with Facebook updates.
– Maintaining an electronic filing system and ensuring the Intranet site is updated with Advocacy and Outreach team materials.
– Managing database systems, conducting data searches, preparing reports, and inputting data into EveryAction.
– Overseeing maintenance of data in activist databases and running data reports as needed.
– Supporting C&C development efforts as requested, including activities such as sharing prospects, briefing staff & donors, alerting staff of fundraising opportunities, reaching out to donors, and making direct fundraising asks.
– Demonstrating commitment to and active support of C&C’s Diversity & Inclusion program.
– Timely and accurate completion of related reports (such as “P card” statement, performance reviews, time cards, etc.).
– Knowing, supporting, and administering the policies and procedures of C&C.
– Familiarity with and commitment to the Compassion & Choices mission.
– Other duties as assigned.
### Preferred Qualifications
**Education and Experience:**
– Bachelor’s degree in political science/public health/management or other related field – or equivalent education and/or experience in a similar position.
– A minimum of 3 years of work experience doing issue advocacy, political campaigns, or other relevant work.
– Knowledgeable about issues of choice, ethics, health, and social justice.
– Experience working with diverse populations.
– Experience preferred in lobbying and/or political campaigns, or community organizing.
– Familiarity with the city and state legislative process preferred.
– Familiarity with and commitment to the Compassion & Choices mission.
**Skills:**
– Experience with forms of social media, such as Facebook.
– Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, including writing skills.
– Ability to earn the confidence of a wide range of internal and external constituents.
– Ability to demonstrate public speaking and training skills preferred.
– Ability to gracefully manage multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong administrative and organizational skills.
– Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, database management, and the Google environment.
