  • Cultivate a quality story bank to help you incorporate advocate experiences into your strategy
  • Adapt stories to resonate with different audiences and contexts, balancing emotion and data for credibility and impact
  • Train advocates to confidently and succinctly share their stories across platforms

1:30 p.m.

Crafting and Adapting Compelling Stories

Storytelling can be the game-changer your advocacy program needs. When curated authentically, advocate stories are both more compelling and successful at swaying policymakers than dry talking points or statistics. But the same story won’t work for every audience, so learning to adapt stories and choose the right channel is critical.

In this session, we will cover:

  • Curating powerful advocate stories to build a quality story bank
  • Balancing personal narrative with data points to strengthen credibility
  • Tailoring stories for maximum impact, including story length and level of detail
