### Overview of the Role

As a Social Media Sr. Specialist on Tableau’s Product Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in creating content that brings value to Tableau customers and the Tableau community—our #DataFam. You will strategize and execute content deliverables in coordination with stakeholders across product marketing, campaigns, and community.

The ideal candidate is a storyteller, problem solver, idea generator, and collaborator with a firm understanding of the ever-evolving social media landscape. You have social media experience with knowledge of current and emerging digital storytelling and content marketing trends.

You are a data enthusiast and will grow as an expert on Tableau in the Analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) category. You thrive as a well-rounded marketer with the flexibility to try new things and make an impact with Tableau. You enjoy actively contributing to team initiatives, seeking opportunities for involvement, making strategic recommendations, and continuing to grow your Tableau and content skills.

Agility, speed, creativity, and a passion for data are critical attributes for this role.

### Responsibilities

– Manage Tableau social channels, editorial calendar, and publishing across social platforms.
– Create compelling content and copy that educates, informs, and engages Tableau’s +1.5M followers.
– Collaborate with various cross-functional stakeholders across product marketing, campaigns, community, and more to execute social content aligned to business priorities.
– Support social strategy, content execution, and analysis for campaigns.
– Educate and enable the cross-functional Tableau Marketing team on social media, and collaborate with social practitioners across Salesforce Social Center of Excellence.
– Lead the Tableau Social Ambassadors program and collaborate on content opportunities.
– Understand brand voice, content, and how all pieces tie together to meet audience and business needs.
– Analyze and report on social content, and identify opportunities for optimization.
– Regularly and effectively present ideas and results to the team.
– Grow and deepen knowledge of Tableau and data analytics.

### Preferred Qualifications

– 3-5+ years experience in social media marketing at a B2C or B2B brand.
– Knowledge of social best practices and experience executing campaigns.
– Experience writing a variety of creative and compelling content including graphics, photography, and video—with portfolio or examples to show.
– Knowledge of the social landscape with a passion for creating fresh ideas.
– Experience managing a social media calendar.
– Experience with social media across multiple social platforms and management tools.
– Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams.
– Strategic thinker, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
– Team player and effective communicator.
– Experience analyzing data, patterns, and trends.
– Tableau experience preferred.
– Degree or equivalent proven experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g., extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).
