### Government Relations Firm Seeking National Security Research Associate
**J.A. Green & Co.,** a Capitol Hill-based government relations and consulting firm, is seeking a full-time Research Associate. Our client base ranges from startups to major OEMs, supporting a broad base of industries critical to national security, including defense, logistics, energy, critical materials, and more.
The Research Associate will provide crucial support to Green & Co.’s team of consultants, lobbyists, retired generals, and flag officers. The Associate will research legislative issues, support client projects, and draft firm communications. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has an interest in national security policy.
### Duties:
– Conducts research to support advocacy strategies; identifies and tracks legislation and regulations that impact client priorities.
– Creates and edits business documents and presentation materials.
– Tracks meeting correspondence.
– Analyzes legislative developments.
– Drafts issue summaries, white papers, Op-Eds, and policy alerts.
– Supports senior staff with business development efforts.
### Qualifications:
– B.S. or B.A. in a relevant field is required.
– Advanced writing experience is required.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel required.
– Experience with policy analysis on Capitol Hill, in the Executive Branch, or more generally within the Government Relations field is preferred.
– Experience with event planning, marketing, and/or public relations is preferred.
