Job Summary: The Programs Coordinator will support the organization’s events and programming by managing registration, coordinating speakers, organizing the database, and updating the website. This role is integral to the planning and execution of the Council’s webinars, workshops, conferences and member services. Additionally, the Programs Coordinator will provide administrative support to the Council’s 501(c)(3) Foundation for Public Affairs. The coordinator will provide customer service to the Council’s active membership and logistical operations to support the entire U.S. Public Affairs Practice team.

Principal Functions:

  • Member Support: Maintain the registration inbox, serving as the primary member contact for processing registrations, refunds, or changes.
  • Event Coordination: Plan for virtual events including coordinating with speakers; assist with monthly in-person events, including managing RSVPs, catering, and set-up.
  • Technical and Database Management: Play a key role in the events setup process, including updating database and website.
  • Billing and Fundraising: Handle monthly billing outreach and support foundation fundraising and tracking.
  • Tech Support: Provide technical support for webinars and workshops.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Team-Oriented: Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and member-focused work environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and capable of improving process efficiency.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation.
  • Administrative Skills: Proficient in administrative tasks.
  • Event Planning: Experience in conference management and event planning.
  • Problem-solving: Demonstrates sound judgment and problem-solving skills, often without complete information.

Credentials and Preferred Experience:

  • Education: BA degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: Preferred experience or strong interest in events management and administrative operations.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with database management.
