#### Role Overview

The Director will focus on exceptional client service, day-to-day execution of client priorities, and support firm-wide business development. They should have experience in various client management roles, including business and persuasive writing, policy research, and reporting. This is a role for someone with 4–6 years of experience in a congressional office or government affairs firm setting.

A successful Director will be a highly motivated, dynamic, self-starter who thrives on autonomy. This is a fully in-person position in our Washington, DC office.

### Key Responsibilities

– Support the execution of day-to-day advancement of multiple client priorities through internal and external engagement with clients, local/state/federal government, third-party organizations, and officials, as directed.
– Execute outreach and relationship building with key government stakeholders to achieve client goals and advance policy priorities.
– Analyze policy developments and key stakeholder networks to better inform client campaigns and efficiently pursue client goals.
– Support monitoring and reporting of program status, deliverables, and opportunity development with minimal oversight.
– Conduct research and outreach in support of relationship development with relevant individuals and organizations to achieve the client’s public policy goals.
– Maintain a calendar and logistics for multiple clients.

### Additional Background

– Professional experience working on Capitol Hill, a similar government affairs consultancy, or a relevant organization.
– Knowledge of the legislative process, with emphasis on the appropriations process, and experience working through relationships with government offices to achieve policy wins.
– Ability to quickly master complex issues and simplify them to support the education of policymakers and staff.
– Experience supporting financial services, trade, health care, or technology policy is preferred.
– Skilled in producing various types of analysis and written documents, including memos, briefings, presentations, legislative text, and others.
– Strong organizational and time management skills to juggle multiple priorities and prioritize accordingly.
– Works independently but collaboratively.
– Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities.
– Willingness to travel up to 25%.

### Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $85,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience. A competitive benefits package, including voluntary participation in employer-sponsored health, dental, and vision insurance plans, is offered to the selected candidate.

### Hiring Process

– Interview with Chief of Staff and select members of the government relations team (30 mins)
– Writing test (60 mins)
– Interview with two managing partners (45 mins)
– Possible reference check
