The 119th Congress is here! Who are the new Members of Congress? Are there new Chairs and Ranking Members on Committees? What are best practices for building relationships from scratch with these offices? We’ll talk through all of these questions and more during this workshop, and you’ll have the opportunity to pose questions of your own.

Leadership and Committee Changes 

There are several new Congressional committee leaders, Ranking members, and rank-and-file committee members in both the House and Senate, in addition to changes in party leadership. Our expert will walk you through each of these changes, the new dynamics that could develop and what they mean for your government relations efforts.   

In this session we will: 

  • Spotlight changes in the House and Senate leadership and profile the major players 
  • Discuss the new committee chairs, Ranking members, and rank-and-file members, as well as their likely legislative priorities 
  • Examine the personal dynamics across leadership that may unfold as the new Congress begins and what to watch for

Who’s Who and What’s Ahead

Beyond new party and committee leaders, there is a large class of “freshmen” Members of Congress this year. In this session, our expert will introduce the new Members, discuss best practices for building relationships with their offices and predict what may be on the legislative roadmap in the coming months. 

In this session we will: 

  • Highlight each of the “freshmen” Members, what committees they’re angling for and what their policy priorities may be 
  • Cover best practices for building relationships with new lawmakers’ offices  
  • Discuss what’s on the horizon for legislative action in the coming months
