This is a Hybrid role based out of our office located in New York, New York.
The Target Pay Range for this position is $156,000 – $195,000 annually. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training, and budget.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Global Director, Corporate Affairs is responsible for helping with the development of strategy and driving the execution of external corporate communications in line with the business strategy, including proactive corporate and brand reputation management, executive visible leadership, change management, internal and leadership communications, media relations, and sustainability initiatives. The role will lead communications across our global Antech veterinary laboratory businesses as well as partnering and/or leading on broader Science & Diagnostics divisional communications programs and initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help establish and drive the long- and short-term global communications strategy for global veterinary labs businesses, including corporate communications, internal communications, change management, media/social strategy, digital and social strategy, story development, proactive news bureau (internal and external), agency management, community outreach, Associate attraction, and retention.
- Develop and drive effective and engaging internal and external storytelling that is relevant and effective at engaging and activating key audiences and changing behavior.
- Partner in crisis/issues communication strategy to minimize situations that can be threatening and/or financially damaging to the company, the labs where we operate globally.
- Play an active role in the global Petcare and wider Mars external communications community, providing perspective and engagement on global issues and reputation building.
- Ensure communication and reputation program impact is benchmarked, measured, and reported and drives continuous improvement across comms executions and plans.
- Partner with the One Mars Petcare team on cross-pet business activation and reputation efforts in key countries.
- Represent Science & Diagnostics and Antech to:
- minimize situations that can be threatening and/or financially damaging to the company, the brands, or the sites where we operate; and
- take advantage of opportunities to positively position as relevant (drive reputation).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- At least 10 years relevant professional experience in related work or corporate communications.
- Bachelor’s degree or community college in communications, marketing, journalism, or an associated profession is required, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Proven success in executing internal and external communications strategies and campaigns regionally and globally.
- Proven success in delivering strategies and actioning against these strategies, across internal and external communications including change management.
- Proven success in navigating complex organizations.
- Tech, science, or human or animal health communications experience a plus.
- Experience in media relations and internal and external stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to travel (up to 20%).
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee will primarily work in a typical office environment, including the use of cubicles, computers, and overhead lighting. Temperature extremes will be minimal to non-existent. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, database management, email, and the Internet. The employee is frequently required to use a calculator, fax, copy machine, and phone system.
