Position Details
Location: Hybrid position, in office 2 days/week in Brentwood, TN, with additional time in the office surrounding fall and spring events.
Reports To: Market Director
Key Responsibilities
CE Core Programs (50% of Time)
- Activate Chapter plans in alignment with the national Community Engagement (CE) strategy, including the consistent implementation of core CE programming:
- Breakthrough T1D Bag of Hope, Teen Pack, and Adult Pack resources
- Outreach Volunteer Impact Initiative
- Breakthrough T1D Community Summit
- Activate CE core programs to meet chapter KPIs:
- Increasing acquisition through newly diagnosed resources
- Activating resource recipients to drive mission progress
- Increasing engagement of healthcare providers (HCPs)
- Identify and manage opportunities for CE resource expansion across the chapter footprint, including:
- Organizing the chapter’s healthcare provider (HCP) strategy
- Utilizing national CE dashboards to analyze data and uncover growth opportunities
- Acting on HCP leads to onboard new resource partners
- Building relationships with key HCP partners to market the CE program and support chapter activities
- Delivering consistent communication to HCPs
- Managing processes with resource distribution partners to comply with expectations and standards
- Maintain an active Outreach Ambassador Chair to manage Outreach Ambassadors, ensuring personal outreach is provided to all Bag of Hope and Pack resource recipients.
- Set Chapter strategy and program framework for Community Summits; recruit committee and speakers.
Grow Pipeline of Support (30% of Time)
- Identify Volunteer Leader prospects, working with the Leadership Team to strategize succession plans.
- Identify engagement opportunities to deepen support through local grant resources to fund CE projects.
- Recruit volunteers across the Chapter; oversee inquiry and collaboration with Chapter leadership on engagement.
- Manage Chapter CE promotion plans, materials for healthcare providers, and presentations.
- Collaborate with CE peers across the organization; participate in national CE trainings and working groups.
New Walk Teams (20% of Time)
- Recruit and coach New Walk Teams in the MTN market, collaborating with the Market Director to ensure KPIs are met.
- Assist with new team recruitment, HCP promotions, and team management across the Chapter.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required with at least four years of related experience
- Successful experience in sales, communications, or another related field
- Knowledge of database management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint); experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Efficient time management with proven success working in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with the ability to interface with corporate executives, HCPs, and all levels of staff and volunteers
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Occasional evening and weekend work required as needed
- A solid understanding of the Breakthrough T1D mission
