Learning how to read and understand Congressional bill text is a skill – sometimes bills are hyper-specific and prescriptive, and sometimes not. With the U.S. Supreme Court overturning the Chevron doctrine in 2024, lawmakers on Capitol Hill will be under pressure to craft legislation that’s less vague and more detailed. Knowing how to understand and analyze bill text will be even more important.
