The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) is the official national Democratic campaign committee charged with electing Democrats to the U.S. House of Representatives. The DCCC recruits Democratic candidates and supports Democratic campaigns – both challengers and Democratic incumbent Members – with a variety of services including field operations, fundraising support, communications assistance, digital strategy, research support, and management consulting. The DCCC is supported by the contributions of individuals and organizations, along with Democratic Members, from throughout the country. We look for talented and hard-working professionals who are committed to electing Democrats and winning the House majority.

Due to the cyclic nature of our organization, all positions are subject to separation at the end of the election cycle.

Position Summary

The DCCC is hiring Regional Political Directors for the 2026 campaign cycle. The Regional Political Director will be responsible for working with both incumbent and challenger/open seat candidates to develop well-funded, well-executed winning campaigns. The Regional Political Director will be responsible for helping to find and recruit candidates, develop campaign operations, identify and train campaign staff to place on campaigns, help manage campaign budgets, and work with other DCCC regional staff and House campaigns to execute fundraising, political, press, paid media, and organizing plans.

Responsibilities Include

  • Identifying and recruiting strong candidates to run for Congress in assigned region.
  • Helping to find and provide support for campaign managers for targeted incumbent and challenger/open seat races.
  • Recruiting campaign staff in targeted races throughout the cycle.
  • Working with DCCC Leadership and regional team to set goals and execute plans for fundraising, organizing, political, paid media, press, and research for each assigned campaign.
  • Leading internal pod team in holding Republican candidates accountable and supporting Democratic Congressional campaigns.
  • Providing DCCC leadership with recommendations for how to best support and invest in targeted districts.
  • Extensive travel to the region to recruit candidates and work with assigned campaigns.
  • Other duties as necessary to ensure the success of our incumbent and challenger campaigns.

Requirements

  • At least 2 cycles of campaign management at the Congressional level or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 cycles of staff management and team leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of paid media planning, including tracking competitive spending and analyzing digital media plans.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to anticipate and prevent problems.
  • Understanding of the House battlefield and a strong commitment to winning back the House.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and developing leadership.
  • Ability to demonstrate multicultural competence and foster an inclusive environment—the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant, and productive ways.
