Description

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and creative Head of Communications to lead our internal and external communications efforts. This person will play a critical role in shaping the voice of our brand, building strong media relationships, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring clear, consistent messaging across all channels. You will work closely with leadership to craft and implement communication strategies that drive awareness, alignment, and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with company goals.
• Advise executive leadership on communication matters and act as a strategic thought partner.
• Serve as brand guardian, ensuring consistency of voice and messaging across platforms.

External Communications

• Oversee all public-facing communications, including social media, newsletters, website content, and PR campaigns.

Internal Communications

• Create and manage internal messaging to keep employees informed, engaged, and inspired.
• Work closely with HR and leadership to support company culture, change management, and key initiatives.
• Develop communication tools and resources for managers and teams.

Content Creation & Management

• Collaborate with marketing, design, and digital teams to ensure effective cross-channel storytelling.

Team & Budget Management

• Manage communications budget and agency/vendor relationships.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in communications.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven experience leading strategic communications and managing crisis situations.
• Strong media relations skills and a deep understanding of the media landscape.
• Experience with internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
• Adept at working cross-functionally in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location. Salary range: $175,000 – $180,000
