A successful grassroots network needs a clear purpose, thoughtful organizational structure and leadership that can sustain engagement over time. Learn how to think through the foundational decisions that shape a program from the start.

  • Aligning grassroots efforts with lobbying, communications and policy priorities
  • Identifying the resources and planning steps needed to sustain the program

Mobilizing Advocates

An advocate list is only useful if your supporters are ready to respond when it matters. Organizations must recruit the right individuals, keep them involved beyond a single campaign or request and create opportunities for participation that feel timely, relevant and manageable.

  • Ways to motivate advocates through relevant messaging, training and recognition
