## Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of State & Local Government and Community Affairs, this role has the lead responsibility for state and local policy efforts including analysis, position development, internal and external stakeholder policy coordination, participation with trade associations, and participation with issue advocacy groups.

## Job Description

### Core Responsibilities

– **Lead policy intake** — Lead a team responsible for intake and preliminary analysis of state legislative, regulatory, administrative, and local policy initiatives impacting Comcast businesses.
– **Serve on leadership cabinet** — Serve on the leadership cabinet for the SVP of State & Local Government and Community Affairs.
– **Coordinate with federal policy team** — Ensure connection, coordination, and synergy with the federal public policy team.
– **Analyze policy trends** — Spot and analyze policy trends across the country and communicate impacts verbally and in writing to executives.
– **Coordinate internal efforts** — Coordinate efforts across Comcast NBCUniversal’s corporate subject matter experts and SLGA field teams regarding policy analysis and implications.
– **Liaise with internal departments** — Work with key departments and subject matter experts on the impact of proposed state and local policies.
– **Draft and negotiate policy initiatives** — Assist in drafting and negotiating proposed state and local policy initiatives, legislation, and amendments.
– **Prepare testimony** — Assist in drafting and analyzing state legislative and local ordinance testimony.
– **Develop policy materials** — Develop policy position papers, reports, and related materials in coordination with the public policy team.
– **Represent Comcast externally** — Participate on behalf of Comcast in coalition and industry trade association state and local policy working groups.
– **Other duties** — Other duties as assigned.

## Education Level

Advanced degree or law degree preferred.

## Salary

**Primary Location Pay Range:** $262,273.59 – $393,410.38

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job‑related, non‑discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the posting date unless applicant volume requires earlier or later closure.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards Comcast provides. Most sales positions are eligible for commission; most non‑sales positions are eligible for a bonus.
