Public affairs professionals write frequently, but they are rarely trained as professional writers. How do writers develop messages that simplify complex issues and move people to act? This session will cover crafting effective action alerts, call scripts, op-eds, letters to the editor and more, including:
- Developing a simple and powerful message that resonates with your target audience
- Properly structuring your argument to ensure a strong start and memorable finish
- Strategies to remove industry jargon and inject clarity into your advocacy writing

- Perfecting your organization’s public policy “elevator speech”
