Managing an association PAC comes with unique challenges, including prior approval, a decentralized membership and event-based fundraising. This workshop will dive into compliance, communications and member engagement considerations for association PAC managers.

Compliance Overview

Association PAC management requires unique compliance considerations. An election law expert will provide a comprehensive legal overview for association PACs. This session will cover basic campaign finance rules for operating a PAC, defining and soliciting your eligible class, and topics specific to association PACs, including prior approval and working with affiliate organizations.

Educating and Communicating About the PAC

Associations do a lot, and it’s important that the value of the PAC isn’t overlooked. This session will focus on ensuring the PAC is visible and engaging to association members. You will learn how to create a strategic communications plan that complements association events, meetings and other forms of outreach.
