Measuring Takes Metrics

To show the value of your government relations work, you need data. But not all government relations work is easily quantifiable – how should you proceed, and what metrics should you use? In our first session, we will dive into different ways to measure the value generated by your government relations function and share best practices for communicating that value internally.

In this session, we will discuss:

  • What metrics to consider to best capture government relations achievements and how they’ve impacted the business
  • How to identify what data your leadership could find most compelling
  • Tips for communicating to internal stakeholders the importance of the government relations function as a value-add

Case Studies in Measuring and Communicating Value

Knowing how your peers measure value and the metrics they find effective can be useful when establishing your own evaluation system. Our expert will share case studies of different ways corporations, associations and others measure their value. We will also discuss how to highlight your impact when goals change and desired outcomes aren’t fully accomplished.

In this session, we will:

  • Discuss examples of how different government relations teams measure their value
  • Share best practices for successfully communicating value, even when a desired outcome wasn’t achieved
