Agenda

10 a.m. What Effective Issues Management Looks Like

Whether you have a formal or informal approach to issues management, it is critical that you have some process to monitor, prioritize and manage issues. This session will divulge strategies to help organizations better anticipate which issues are most likely to emerge and how to address them in a systematic fashion. We’ll also discuss how to integrate issues management within public affairs and across the organization – even if you don’t have a formal issues management function. We’ll specifically address:

  • Profiles of effective formal and informal issues management structures
  • Issues management vs. crisis management
  • How to engage across the enterprise
  • Mapping your issues for importance to the company and for impact
  • Tools for monitoring and tracking issues
