Firehouse Strategies is seeking a full-time associate to join our rapidly growing public affairs firm. Associates at Firehouse play an integral role in supporting the firm’s client servicing teams while working in a fun, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.

This position is based out of Firehouse’s Washington, D.C. office where the firm’s employees work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and remotely Monday and Friday.

Responsibilities

Support the firm’s client servicing teams in developing and executing strategies and tactics that effectively reach and persuade clients’ targeted audiences
Draft client reports, memorandums, and presentation materials
Draft opinion content, such as op-eds and letters to the editor
Closely monitor day-to-day media activities related to the firm’s clients
Collaborate with the firm’s political team to help manage clients’ grassroots and grasstops issue advocacy campaigns
Preferred Qualifications

1-2 years of professional experience
Ability to successfully draft memorandums, op-eds, and letters to the editor
Proven ability to complete assigned tasks on time and manage competing deadlines
Strong research skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite platforms, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as social media platforms, such as Twitter and Facebook

Annual Compensation: $50,000 – $57,000
