## Position Summary
The Associate Director of Government Affairs will serve on the federal government affairs team for the Kraft Heinz Company (KHC) and will report to the Director of Federal Government Affairs. The role requires a robust understanding of the legislative process and established relationships with policymakers and staff on Capitol Hill, as well as officials within the executive branch (USDA, FDA, USTR, Commerce, EPA, etc.).

## Primary Responsibilities
– Analyze and understand the business impact of proposed federal legislation and regulations that may affect the company’s operations and workforce.
– Develop creative government relations strategies to support KHC’s business interests and advocacy efforts.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant government officials, legislative offices, industry partners, and thought leaders in Washington, D.C.
– Demonstrate leadership skills, including the ability to advance company interests in consensus‑driven environments.
– Anticipate emerging federal issues of importance to the company.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with internal Kraft Heinz stakeholders.
– Provide government affairs counsel to business leadership.
– Identify and resolve challenges for the business.
– Collaborate cross‑functionally with key internal colleagues and subject‑matter experts across the company to identify and manage issues.

## Qualifications
– 8+ years of demonstrated success within government, a trade association, and/or a corporate government affairs function.
– Robust understanding of the legislative process and established relationships with policymakers on Capitol Hill and in the executive branch (USDA, FDA, USTR, Commerce, EPA, etc.).
– Domain expertise in food and agricultural policy.
– Strong project management skills and a track record of coalition‑building.
– Proven track record of delivering results.
– Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of public settings.
– Experience managing outside resources, including consultants, on legislative or public policy initiatives (preferred).
– Ability to work as a team player.
– Excellent oral and written communication skills.

– Experience working with a CPG or manufacturing company.
– J.D. or Master’s degree.

## New Hire Base Salary Range
**$164,200.00 – $205,200.00**
**Bonus:** This position is eligible for a performance‑based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
