Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher
· 1-3 years of relevant experience in Congress and public policy from internships, or related experience
· Comfortable dealing with the most senior people within the organization
· Exceptional attention to detail and writing skills
· Highly collaborative working style
· Excellent research skills
· Proficient skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel and comparable programs
In this role, you will:
· Work directly with and learn from a group of government relations professionals within a flat organizational structure where everyone pitches in
· Be part of a core team focused on advocating for client goals
· Conduct legislative and policy research, track legislation, federal grants and contribute to fast-paced projects
· Help to maintain timelines for client deliverables and organizational materials for the team
· Contribute to marketing materials and events, and associated strategy
· Draft briefing materials ahead of key stakeholder meetings and develop leave-behinds on behalf of clients
· Collaborate across the DGA network to foster relationships and develop joint business opportunities
· Attend virtual and in-person events, as appropriate, to represent DGA and our clients’ interests
· Grow your skills as a problem solver, becoming comfortable operating independently and seeking counsel at the appropriate time
