🌿 Baltimore Community Organizer for Chispa Maryland
Maryland League of Conservation Voters (Maryland LCV) and Maryland League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (Maryland LCV EF) are hiring a Baltimore Community Organizer for its Chispa Maryland program.

Launched in 2014, Chispa Maryland is a grassroots community organizing program working to ensure that Latino families are effective leaders and have power to influence environmental policies and decisions that affect their lives. Chispa Maryland has established relationships with environmental and social justice groups, and our volunteers and activists have become environmental leaders who have taken numerous actions to protect the health of their families and communities from air, land, and water pollution.

In 2023, Chispa Maryland expanded into Baltimore, by launching two active community committees focused on climate and environmental justice. The Baltimore Community Organizer will support these groups, build relationships in the community, recruit and train new volunteers, and help develop local community leaders. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about grassroots organizing and building power in communities of color.

This position reports to the Chispa Organizing Manager and works closely with Chispa Maryland staff and community partners.
