Job Opportunity: Regional Organizer

The California Pan-Ethnic Health Network (CPEHN) seeks a full-time Regional Organizer for Central Valley (Madera, Modesto, Fresno, Bakersfield) counties. CPEHN is a statewide health policy organization dedicated to addressing racial and ethnic health disparities. The Regional Organizer will play a pivotal role in community engagement, mobilization, and policy advocacy.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies to build community power and mobilize individuals.
  • Attend and participate in community meetings and events.
  • Foster relationships with local organizers and community members.
  • Lead meetings with community partners in Central Valley counties.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in mobilizing communities regionally.
  • Established relationships with base-building organizations or local Community-Based Organizations focused on health equity.
  • Excellent facilitation skills for in-person and virtual events and meetings.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently.
  • Cultural humility and understanding of issues impacting communities of color.
  • Collaboration across teams, title tiers, and offices for collective impact.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in community organizing or outreach, preferably within a nonprofit or community-based organization.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience addressing issues related to communities of color.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $75,000 – $77,000

  • Competitive benefits package including 100% employer-paid health and dental insurance, up to 10% employer retirement contributions, sabbatical leave, generous PTO, and professional development funds.
