About the Role
As a Communications Associate, you’ll play a vital role supporting our communications efforts and helping manage projects that influence public discourse. From rapid-response moments to long-term campaign planning, you’ll collaborate closely with our creative and political teams to craft messaging, engage with media, and keep projects on track.
Your Responsibilities
- Respond quickly and accurately to incoming inquiries from reporters and other media outlets
- Book and coordinate interviews for spokespersons with exceptional attention to detail
- Draft talking points, press releases, op-eds, and social media content
- Track media coverage and provide timely clips and summaries to internal teams and clients
- Stay on top of breaking news and contribute to rapid-response efforts
- Maintain and update media lists and databases
- Brainstorm creative campaign ideas to amplify client messages
- Help ensure messaging consistency across all platforms and materials
- Deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- A voracious appetite for political news and a sharp eye for identifying rapid-response opportunities
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- A collaborative spirit and comfort working as part of a fast-moving team
- A self-starter mentality who’s proactive in seeking solutions and anticipating needs
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous experience in political communications, journalism, media relations, or related fields is a plus

Base salary range: $55k–$70k
This position is full-time and in-office (no remote, hybrid, or part-time options).
