Summary

The Marketing Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for building and nurturing relationships between Confluence Health and the community. This role involves creating and implementing strategies to engage with the target audience, fostering a sense of community, and enhancing brand loyalty. This position will be responsible for creating, managing, and promoting a comprehensive events and outreach calendar, and will work with all levels of staffing and leadership to ensure events are executed on time and successfully. The Community Engagement Specialist will work directly with the Marketing manager to ensure community and outreach events are aligned with organizational goals and objects and activities enhance strategic marketing campaigns. The person hired will be expected to carry out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.

Position Reports To: Marketing Manager

Essential Functions

  • Participate as a member of the Marketing team in developing and implementing strategies to support the department and company.
  • Utilize community outreach and engagement and key collaborations with Campaign Managers, to build a meaningful and authentic social media presence.
  • Organize and coordinate events to bring the community together and promote the Confluence brand. This could include sponsorships, corporate events, health fairs, community clinical education, grand openings and more.
  • Act as a liaison between the community and the company, gathering feedback and insights to inform event and outreach strategies.
  • Establish partnerships with other organizations or businesses that align with the Confluence Health’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Track and analyze community engagement metrics to measure the success of community-building efforts.
  • Create, maintain, and promote comprehensive annual calendar of events and activities.
  • Attend community events to ensure success and to gain insights for future events.
  • Ensures compliance with CH policies and procedures with emphasis on compliance with HIPAA requirements.
  • Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.

Position Requirements

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is an essential requirement of working at Confluence Health. Religious and medical exemptions will be considered upon request.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, public relations, or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in events coordination, community outreach, or marketing.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
  • Experienced in the development of effective working relationships with physicians, employees, all levels of management, vendors, business partners and the public.
  • Experienced in community engagement with a strong desire to build human connections.
  • Experienced in planning and executing multiple events in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Washington State driver’s license.

Desired:

  • Bilingual desirable with the ability to pass a fluency evaluation of a CH chosen vendor.

Working Conditions

Normal office environment and involves working closely with other staff members and with staff of other physician offices. Outside, all types of weather to support events and activities. Requires some evening and weekend work as determined by the workload and calendar of events.
