### SUMMARY

Manages all corporate citizenship and philanthropic policies and programs for the company. Aligns, coordinates, and executes all subsidiary corporate citizenship activities to ensure alignment with corporate goals, values, and mission. Manages corporate contributions, corporate citizenship programs, and foundation philanthropic budgets. Coordinates corporate community involvement programs and initiatives with state and local media efforts, government relations strategy, public policy positions, and programs. Collaborates with corporate and local strategic partners to leverage relationships and reputation capital, actively positioning the company as a trusted and valued partner in all markets served.

### ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

– Plans, manages, and oversees the execution of the corporate citizenship strategy, vision, mission, and goals.
– Collaborates with other Public Policy team members to ensure all corporate public policy elements are integrated, congruent, and effective.
– Works closely with subsidiary community involvement programs to ensure local programs align with overall corporate citizenship strategy.
– Researches and develops innovative corporate citizenship initiatives to span all subsidiaries, promoting, enhancing, and empowering long and short-term goals, vision, and strategic imperatives.
– Collaborates with corporate communications and marketing to position the company proactively as a good corporate citizen with various groups.
– Counsels various groups on community relations and corporate citizenship trends, communicating the impact of corporate philanthropy and community outreach to community stakeholders.
– Serves as Executive Director of the PNM Resources Foundation, which includes:
– Directing the development, planning, staffing, and coordination of all foundation activities.
– Serving as a liaison to the foundation’s legal and financial advisors, ensuring sound management of foundation operations and assisting with asset management.
– Developing and implementing the foundation’s strategic plan and budget.
– Reviewing organizational policies and presenting revisions to the board.
– Determining grants to be awarded with input from foundation staff, based on screening committee recommendations.
– Ensuring appropriate personnel are assigned to grantee events (e.g., check distribution, award presentations, site visits).

Defines, implements, and communicates the corporate, subsidiary, and foundation contributions strategy, budgets, policies, and procedures. Directs and collaborates with foundation staff to ensure successful administration of the organization’s programs.

Develops relationships with national, state, and local agencies, foundations, and other organizations within the multi-state service area. Develops community support strategy for community fence-line and business matters.

Serves as spokesperson for the company’s corporate citizenship vision and actions, developing the corporate citizenship brand across the holding company and its subsidiaries.

Acts as a subject matter expert on community-based initiatives, key philanthropic issues, the nonprofit sector, corporate citizenship, and community partnerships.

### QUALIFICATIONS

**Minimum Education and/or Experience**
Bachelor’s degree with seven to nine years of related experience in corporate citizenship, non-profit management, and philanthropy, including two years of management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master’s degree is preferred.

**Certificates, Licenses, Registrations**
Must possess a current, valid driver’s license and meet the company’s driving record requirements.

### SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises and trains assigned staff, organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Develops employees and manages department performance. Creates a system to capture organizational learning based on continuous improvement.

### COMMUNICATION SKILLS

– Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
– Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
– Skilled in writing speeches and articles using innovative techniques.
– Capable of writing complex correspondence.
– Proficient in presenting information to diverse audiences.

### MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

– Proficiency with concepts of probability, statistical inference, financial analysis, and geometry.
– Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

### COMPUTER SKILLS

Working knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation software.

### ANALYSIS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITY

– Ability to develop strategies aligned with high-level corporate objectives across multi-state territories.
– Ability to prioritize improvement opportunities and integrate them into strategic planning.
– Experience in budgeting and working within budgets.
– Skill in designing, communicating, and supporting corporate citizenship programs for both internal and external audiences.
– Ability to apply corporate citizenship practices to company issues, understand business and community context, and develop proactive strategies.

### DECISION MAKING

Develops corporate citizenship strategy and directs the strategic foundation direction. Oversees multimillion-dollar corporate citizenship budgets and allocates work among staff.

### SCOPE AND IMPACT

Manages an $18 million foundation endowment and annual distribution of $1.5 million in foundation grants. Oversees the Community Relations Department’s annual budget of approximately $600,000 and directs an annual distribution of about $2 million in corporate contributions.

### PHYSICAL DEMANDS

– Ability to sit up to two-thirds of the time; ability to stand, walk, and stoop up to one-third of the time.
– Good vision, focus adjustment, and manual dexterity required.
– Occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds.
– Ability to travel to company service areas, maintain safety standards, and periodically work evenings and weekends.
– Ability to transport community outreach materials.
