## Responsibilities

The Government Relations and Public Policy team covers a wide range of responsibilities: government affairs and government relations; policy and issue area expertise; risk and crisis management and mitigation; outreach, coalitions, and partnerships. The mission of the team is to earn trust and prevent, manage, and mitigate political, legislative, and regulatory threats to TikTok.

### Responsibilities
– Lead monitoring and analysis of emerging policy trends and legislative developments at a European/EU level in the cyber policy space, including policies that could have impact on digital infrastructure, and coordinate internal positioning in response.
– Provide insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders on potential implications for TikTok’s business and operations, and advise internal teams on regulatory requirements, risks, and opportunities.
– Provide subject‑matter expertise and strategic input to local government relations teams on cyber policy and infrastructure issues, ensuring alignment with cross‑company policy positioning.
– Collaborate closely with internal cross‑functional teams, including PR, Legal, Product, and Engineering, to align engagement efforts with TikTok’s broader strategic objectives and ensure a joined‑up approach to the development of public policy positions and advocacy campaigns.
– Develop and advance company policy positions on cyber policy and infrastructure‑related topics, including sustainability, in conjunction with CSR and other cross‑functional teams.

## Qualifications

### Minimum Qualifications
– Direct experience in Public Policy and/or Government Relations and Advocacy work.
– Deep understanding of public policy issues around the data centre industry, data security, privacy, and sustainability.
– Proven network within the data centre industry and beyond.
– Fluent in English as it is the working language of the company.

### Preferred Qualifications
– Ability to work in a dynamic environment and deliver measurable impact across multiple markets.
– Strong research and analysis abilities.
– Strong teamwork skills.
– Motivation to learn and grow, as well as motivate and inspire others.
