#### Your Mission

As our Director of ESG and Government Relations, based in San Jose, CA or remote and reporting to the Chief Legal and Sustainability Officer. Maxeon Solar Technologies has made sustainability a core commitment. Key highlights included joining the United Nations Global Compact and being recognized as one of the World’s Top 50 Most Sustainable Corporations. Maxeon is now well-positioned to make further enhancements in its role as a global leader in sustainability in the solar space. Your role will be pivotal in the strategic development and leadership of Maxeon’s sustainability program, built around the goal of creating impact within our communities and planet, while managing the company’s sustainability risks and leveraging its opportunities. These include representing Maxeon’s ESG activities both internally and with its external stakeholders, driving annual sustainability strategic roadmap and reporting, lead product-related sustainability certifications/testing, managing sustainability policies and related supplier compliance and due diligence, managing strategic community partnerships and sustainability communications.

You will also be responsible managing government relations activities includes managing local, state, and federal relationships to benefit Maxeon’s strategic initiatives, programs and policies. You will support communication strategies to publicize and promote broad awareness of Maxeon’s sustainability initiatives to key external stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, investors, government and industry associations.

You will have the support of leading consultancies and on the ground support through the local teams at each manufacturing location in Mexico, Malaysia, Philippines and the United States. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning and communication skills.

#### Make Your Mark: How You Will Drive Change

– Preparing annual sustainability reports in accordance with GRI, SASB, TCFD reporting methodology and SGX voluntary disclosures, as well as aligned to evolving international standards and practices where relevant.
– Developing and executing corporate sustainability initiatives, materiality assessment reviews and ongoing reporting & ratings strategies for Maxeon.
– Leading 3rd party engagements where necessary to gain external subject matter expertise on the process.
– Reviewing and managing ESG analyst ratings including MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS ESG and CDP.
– Managing annual Conflict Minerals Due Diligence and Reporting and review of all Maxeon’s ESG Policies.
– Preparing annual Modern Slavery Statement in accordance with Modern Slavery Act 2018 and preparing the ESG documentations for annual ISO audits.
– Leading Maxeon’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program – Maxeon Gives.
– Leading the development of ESG data management software with collaboration with internal stakeholders and external institutions.
– Engaging with suppliers for external social supply chain and ESG-related requirements audits.
– Developing and maintaining productive relations with all levels of government authorities (federal, state, provincial, or local) to support and enhance Maxeon’s goals.
– Reporting regularly to management on status of major policy issues/initiatives and objectives for planned activities.

**Essential for your Success:**
We understand that everyone has followed unique career paths, gaining valuable knowledge along the way. Don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes – apply anyway! Your experience is more than just a list of technical skills.

– Bachelor’s degree with managerial level experience in corporate sustainability for global/regional organizations.
– Knowledge and experience in global sustainability standards and frameworks: such as UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Science-Based Target Initiative (SBTI), TaskForce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and others.
– Experience reviewing and managing ESG analyst ratings.
– Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
– Excellent computer skills (Microsoft suite of applications) for analysis, review and reporting of data.
– Strong analytical and quantitative data management skills, and experience with data management systems to benchmark and synthesize data and communicate internal trends and insights.
– Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders including elected officials and regulators.

**It would be Nice if You Have:**

– Advanced degree in sustainable management, energy and resources, business, law, engineering, or a related field.
– Experience in the Manufacturing Industry.
– Experience managing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
– Strong knowledge of public relations, campaigning, and grassroots activities.

The US base salary range for this position in the bay area, CA is $214,000 – $268,000 + benefits.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.
