Primary owner of the communications plan, engagement programs, and manager/employee touchpoints for global Personal Systems Category team. Plan, source, and host forums with small (10) and large (1,000+) audience on business, development, and ad-hoc topics. Responsible to plan, execute, and host regular All Employee, All Manager, and other engagement forums. Create, edit, and execute distribution plan for communications on leadership, market share, financial results, and contribute to ad-hoc deliverables for various forums (external, internal, cross functional, etc.).

Develop internal and external leadership platforms and content

Support exec readiness and content development. Ensure communications align with HP’s narrative framework. Create, implement and measure sustained executive communications strategies and plans to advance HP’s corporate image, drive employee engagement, and promote executive visibility. Manage corporate reputation, mitigate risks and issues, including crisis, security, government relations, IT, and HR.

Successfully operates in complex disciplines, in which the organization must operate to be successful. Provides highly innovative and creative solutions. Leads cross-division functional projects that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead work involving senior leadership and major business priorities.
  • Partner with a diverse mix of internal/external stakeholders to drive results.
  • Develop, drive, and evaluate communications strategies and programs (internal or external) for SVP level and above.
  • Develop executive communications (e.g. messaging, talking points, presentation content).
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and working groups.
  • Set strategic direction for agency relationships.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area or demonstrated experience with communication strategy and execution, positioning for scaled organizations, in global environment.
  • Typically 6-8 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Superior writing and editing skills.
  • Prioritization, project management and time management skills.
  • Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results, while being adaptable to change and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Superior listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior knowledge and understanding of corporate communications methodologies, tools and vehicles; a consistent source of new ideas and creative thinking.
  • Proven experience managing, leading, driving and measuring virtual teams toward common goal.
