## Government Affairs Director
The **Government Affairs Director** serves as a senior‑level strategist and advocate within T‑Mobile’s Government Affairs team, responsible for developing and executing high‑impact advocacy and engagement initiatives across all levels of government and with key third‑party organizations.
This role operates independently, providing subject matter expertise and policy leadership without direct people management responsibilities. The Government Affairs Director acts as a principal interface with senior policymakers, industry leaders, and internal executives to shape and support the company’s public policy objectives.
We are seeking a candidate with experience working in California, a strong understanding of state policy issues, and established relationships within California state government.

## Education and Experience
– Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (JD, MPA, MBA, or similar) preferred.
– 10+ years of experience in government affairs, lobbying, or public policy, including significant experience leading initiatives.
– Specific experience lobbying in the state of California.
– Demonstrated success working independently with senior government officials and internal executives.
– Expert‑level understanding of legislative, regulatory, and public policy processes.
– Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

**Corporate Bonus Target:** 25%

Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year‑end bonus based on company and/or individual performance, set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
